PVCu Roofline – The Step by Step Roofline Installation

From start to finish….

Step 1 The first job is to erect the scaffolding, then we remove the first row of tiles from around the eaves and clear out the old guttering of dirt, moss etc.

Step 2 Then we cut away approximately four inches off your old roofing felt, as it is usually sagging and in need of replacing. (Sagging felt lets water into the eaves; it can cause damp problems and roof condensation.)

Step 3 We then remove all your wooden fascias, soffits and bargeboards and repair joists where necessary. Large amounts of dust, loose mortar and old bird’s nests are often found.

Step 4 Now our team of installers begin to install your new PVCu fascias, soffits, bargeboards and guttering. The PVCu we use is a thick hardwearing weatherproof material that is virtually maintenance free.

Step 5 Now your new maintenance free roofline has been installed we then fit our over the fascia protection system and re-fit the roof tiles – any chipped or cracked tiles will be replaced with new ones.

Step 6 Our team of installers will then fit dry verge caps on your gable ends; our dry verge system provides a strong, weather tight and maintenance free finish. Individual verge units retain the stepped appearance of a traditional mortar bedded verge while mechanically fixing the verge roof tiles.

Step 7  We clean and inspect all the fascias, soffits and guttering to ensure a perfect installation every time. Finally, we sweep up any remaining dust and debris, leaving your home clean and tidy.
